Born in the space sector, our expertise grew through decades of hands-on involvement in demanding aerospace research programs, as both project leaders and engineering partners. Lambda-X Verhaert High-Tech applies its depth of knowledge today across industries, delivering custom optical instruments for science, industry and defense. From one-offs to certified series production, we support projects where every detail matters.
1996
Founded as a ULB microgravity laboratory spin-off, Lambda-X begins its journey in custom space optics with Verhaert as an early shareholder.
2017
To enhance the quality of our services, we expanded our premises to 3.000 m², including over 650 m² of ISO 7 and ISO 5 cleanroom and integration areas.
2021
Lambda‑X created a dedicated spin‑off to leverage its expertise in ophthalmic quality‑control equipment, building on its success with the NIMO systems.
2024
The ophthalmic division spins out, while Lambda-X High-Tech strengthens its future in high-tech optics as a fully integrated business within Verhaert.
