Brainstorm tools to ideate useful applications
Drones are a hot topic nowadays. The DroneTalks workshop of Verhaert specifically addressed companies that are actually struggling with finding new business applications for drones. Drone experts, legal advisors and people from various market sectors shared their insights during the event, organized in Flanders and Wallonia.
To assist in ideating new applications for drones, the participants were introduced to the Verhaert tools during a brainstorm session. These tools encourage you to find useful applications that will generate new business using drones enabled by state of the art technologies.

Demonstrating drone technology
Participants were highly charmed by the demonstration of Fleye, a very promising drone start-up. Their drone is a flying camera that returns to the user even when it is pushed away. Laurent Eschenauer presented opportunities that new technologies can assist to drones in for instance 2 to 4 years. Artificial intelligence, autopilot software, enhanced sensor technologies and many more inspired the participants to not be limited using technologies from today.
Future of drones
Everyone probably already had a feeling of insecurity when walking alone in a dark street or unknown neighbourhood. Intimidated and uncertain, we desire for a friend, a companion, a guardian angel. Will drones become our guardian angel in the future? Will they be able to scan a perimeter around us, warn us or public instances in case of danger or accidents? Will the drone replace a human’s best friend, a dog, and come with speech recognition, optical person recognition and voice interface?
It will not surprise you that, during the DroneTalks workshop, a lot of ideas were generated for drone applications in B2C. How are you and your company struggling with innovation regarding the technological or business aspects of drones?
